Professional Experience

I am a Registered Professional Nurse licensed in New Jersey. I have been a nurse since 1995 with national certification in critical care. I have participated in interdisciplinary rounds, grand rounds and have worked with many physicians, medical residents, interns, and students over the course of my career in nursing. I transitioned from clinical nursing to nursing education in 2011, and in 2015, I began working with medical students at AUA. I worked in Antigua with Basic Sciences Education Enhancement from 2015-2016 and the Exam Center with Dr. Fernandez as the Assistant Campus Proctor. After a few years away, I returned to AUA in 2019 to work with Clinical Sciences Students. I have extensive experience with advising students on methods of study, test taking skills, identifying areas of strength, and using them to enhance areas of weakness.

Ms. Tony-Ann Huggins

Professional Experience

Tony-Ann Huggins is an Administrative Assistant attached to the Behavioral Sciences and Neuroscience – Clinical Education Enhancement Department. Tony- Ann has over four years’ experience in various areas of business operations and function such as in the field of Operations Control, Sales and Customer Service, Office Administration and most recently in Finance and account. Tony-Ann specializes her studies in International Business Management and is responsible for providing administrative support to the academia of the university, facilitate processing and dissemination of information relevant to tasks/projects, monitoring and maintaining established AUA-COM databases and control systems, just to name a few.

Tony-Ann is a young professional and motivated individual with a fresh perspective and a passionate outlook on the strategic role and importance of leadership, customer service, teamwork, and safety in an organization. Throughout her personal and professional development, she intends to contribute to the overall development of any team she is a part of. She can establish and maintaining lasting professional relationships based on honesty and integrity. In her free time, Tony-Ann enjoys going to the beach, exploring nature, gardening, and family time.
