Time Keeping

AUA has in place procedures to maintain adequate records of all hours (including approved overtime) worked by staff. All employees are required to record the start and finish of their work day on the AUA time keeping system. If you must leave campus during the work day for any reason, the time you leave from and return to campus must also be registered on the time keeping system. Both employees and their managers are responsible for and accountable for the accuracy and completeness of time records, which must reflect actual hours worked and any time away from work such as vacation, holiday, sick, jury duty, birthday, etc.

Overtime, as well as any early or late clock in or out must be authorized and documented. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that overtime authorization from their department head is obtained prior to working, documented, and verified by department heads subsequent to the hours worked.
