Personal cell phones
It is the policy of the University to limit the use of personal cell phones including phone calls, text messaging and Internet based activities during working hours for personal matters. Employees are encouraged to use personal cell phones during regular break and meal periods instead of during working hours whenever possible.
If a manager or supervisor requests the use of your personal cell phone be discontinued, employees are required to comply with this request. If a co-worker indicates that the use of your personal cell phone is disturbing or offensive, then the usage of your personal cell phone must be adjusted or cease.
AUA reserves the right to discontinue the privilege of using a personal cell phone during working hours for any employee or for all employees.
Use of your personal cell phone during meetings or conference calls is not allowed.
Employees in violation of this policy will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
