The American University of Antigua (AUA) Faculty Handbook memorializes the University’s institutional policies, guidelines, and procedures relating directly to the faculty. It is a living document that is subject to revision and modification. American University of Antigua reserves the right periodically to review and revise the policies and procedures contained in the Handbook. Memos or directives from the President or from Executive Deans of Basic Sciences and of Clinical Sciences (hereafter referred to as the Executive Deans), when appropriate, will be incorporated into the Handbook. The faculty is encouraged to make recommendations for changes, modifications, and additions to be incorporated into the AUA Faculty Handbook. It is the duty of all faculty members, as an integral part of employment with American University of Antigua, to be knowledgeable concerning the policies and procedures contained within the Handbook. All revisions to the Handbook will be published at least thirty days prior to becoming effective. Updated versions of the Faculty Handbook will be disseminated to the faculty via email as revisions are made.
