\n\u2022 Guidance and support of department chairs, course directors and faculty on all academic matters<\/p>\nAssociate Dean of Academic Organization:<\/strong><\/h4>\n
\n\u2022 Coordinates teaching schedules and education resources (i.e., classrooms, small group discussion rooms and laboratories) with Department Chairs.
\n\u2022 Assures the availability and maintenance or physical resources including tables, chairs, desks and audiovisual equipment (i.e., computers, visual projection and sound system).<\/p>\nAssociate Dean for Evaluation:<\/strong><\/h4>\n
\nResponsible for:
\n\u2022 Planning, organizing, scheduling, administering, proctoring, scoring, and reporting of all assessments at AUA, including formative exams, summative exams, make-up, retake, di-agnostic, mock, and special exams.
\n\u2022 Organizing, administering, proctoring, and reporting of all external exams, including the NBME Comprehensive Basic Sciences (CBSE) and Custom Assessments (CAS). Act as a Chief Executive Proctor and chief liaison with NBME.
\n\u2022 Recruiting faculty proctors and external proctors and coordinating IT support.
\n\u2022 Monitoring all test sessions for disruptive behavior, cheating or testing irregularities.
\n\u2022 Creating, maintaining, and editing exam questions databases in ExamSoft.
\n\u2022 Creating examination policies and guidelines for writing exam questions.
\n\u2022 Organizing of training for faculty in writing exam questions.
\n\u2022 Organizing and conducting meetings of the Exams Committee for vetting of exam ques-tions and for post-exam item analysis.
\n\u2022 Organizing and team building of the Exam Center.
\n\u2022 Giving orientation sessions for students on exams policies.<\/p>\nDean of Students:<\/strong><\/h4>\n
\n\u2022 Resolution of student-related non-academic problems (including conflicts between stu-dents and between a student or students and non-academic staff).
\n\u2022 Acting as advisor to the Student Government Association<\/p>\nDean of Library Services and Academic Support:<\/strong><\/h4>\n
Associate Dean for Research:<\/strong><\/h4>\n
\n\u2022 The AUA Research Council is an HHS-approved Institutional Review Board (IRB). All research protocols for research done by Antigua-based medical faculty and students must be approved by the Research Council;
\n\u2022 The AUA Research Council also reviews and recommends approval of research projects by AUA Faculty and Students for internal funding;
\n\u2022 The AUA Research Council also reviews and recommends approval (and as appropriate, additional funding) for research presentations proposed by the AUA Faculty via an ad hoc Subcommittee chaired by the Associate Dean;
\n\u2022 The Associate Dean of Research provides research and statistical consultation to Faculty, Students, and Administrators;
\n\u2022 The Associate Dean of Research is responsible for collecting all AUA Faculty and Student Research activity including published articles in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, abstracts, paper and poster presentations.<\/p>\n
