She holds two Certificates of Advanced Graduate Study from The Johns Hopkins University in Clinical Community Counseling and in Higher Education. She is also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), National Certified School Counselor (NCSC), and Board Certified Telemental Health Counselor (BC-TMH). Dr. Ford was an adjunct professor at Walden University in the School of Counseling. She had a private practice, for over a decade, counseling children, adolescents, and adults. She has presented at local, state, national, and international conferences on counselor advocacy and mental health. She is also a motivational speaker, poet, and author. She has worked in high school and university counseling settings in Miami and a mental health facility for women in the United Kingdom.\u00a0Ms. Christopher\u00a0returned to Antigua in 2013 working as a psychotherapist for the Ministry of Education. She began her career at Crossroads in 2017 as a primary therapist providing individual and group therapy, as well as didactics on addiction education and related topics.\u00a0Ms. Christopher\u00a0also became qualified as a Master\u2019s Level Registered Addiction Specialist while at Crossroads. In addition, to her employment at both the Ministry of Education and Crossroads,\u00a0she\u00a0also has a private psychotherapy practice, which she opened in 2013.\u00a0\u00a0Ms. Christopher\u00a0is currently a full-time Counselor at the AUA University Counseling Center.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #008080;\">Mr. Sydney Retemyer<\/span> | MSc, M-RAS<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/myaua.auamed.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Sydney2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6597928 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/myaua.auamed.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Sydney2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"191\" height=\"190\" srcset=\"https:\/\/myaua.auamed.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Sydney2.jpg 191w, https:\/\/myaua.auamed.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Sydney2-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 191px) 100vw, 191px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Sydney Retemyer is a born Guyanese living in Antigua for the past 34 years. Academically, he achieved his Masters in Mental Health Psychology out of the University of Liverpool and was also awarded the status of a Registered Addiction Specialist out of California in 2014. His specialties are addiction counseling, family therapy, and individual counseling, which compliment his theological credentials obtained since the early \u201990s. Mr. Retemyer also conducts lectures on spirituality, mental health, and addiction. He is a motivational speaker and is a member of the local Toastmasters Club. Joseph<\/span> | MD<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Born and raised in Antigua, Dr. Joseph completed her Bachelor\u2019s degree in Chemistry at Dalhousie University in Halifax Nova Scotia Canada in 2005 and her Doctor of Medicine at AUACOM in 2011. She completed her residency training at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 2017. Dr. Joseph earned several awards during her residency training, including 2017 Psychiatry Trainee of the Year and the Catherine Speedy Memorial Award. Dr. Joseph is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. Upon completing her residency training, Dr. Joseph was employed as both an internist and a psychiatrist at Altru Health System in Grand Forks North Dakota until 2021 when she returned to Antigua to work as a specialist in both Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. Dr. Joseph has acquired several certifications including various ultrasound certifications, completion of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) fellowship, and spirometry training. Dr. Joseph is licensed to practice medicine in both Antigua and Barbuda, as well as North Dakota, USA.
